What the court heard
He was found guilty of murder and arson in Gosport, Hampshire, on 30 July 2019. He and a friend had been at his victims home the previous evening when he left with his friend but returned later (alone). He attacked his 27-year-old victim, bound her with cable ties and used a knife to torture her in her bedroom. His victim suffered stab wounds to her throat and died at the scene. He then set fire to her home. His victims naked body was discovered later by firefighters. The court heard that the murder was sexually motivated.
