What the court heard
He pleaded guilty to murder in Newham, east London, on 17 June 2019. He was armed with a knife when he went to an alleyway for a prearranged meeting with his 42-year-old victim, who was the estranged husband of his co-defendant. The court heard that his co-defendant was having a sexual relationship with both men and had suggested the meeting and the location. His victim was drunk when he attacked him. His victim suffered 35 stab wounds and died at the scene. A Lithuanian interpreter was required in the case.
