What the court heard
He was found guilty of murder in Branston, Lincolnshire, between 28 July 2019 and 29 July 2019. He strangled his 51-year-old mother and battered her 71-year-old partner with a hammer at the family home. The couple were found dead by police on 5 August 2019. He had pleaded not guilty to murder on the grounds of diminished responsibility.
