What the court heard
He was found guilty of rape, sexual assault and causing a person to engage in sexual activity without consent in Plymouth, Devon, over a four year period. The court heard that the counts represented a course of conduct covering multiple offences. The judge said: "You committed sickening abuse of a very vulnerable man. You were dishonest, you were deceitful... For three or four times a month for over four years, you raped or sexually abused him. You tricked him into believing you could help with his ongoing medical problems. You abused his trust... He believed you were some form of healer... Not once did you think about the damage you were causing to him physically and mentally"
