What the court heard
He was found guilty of murder in Kirkby, Merseyside, on 7 July 2019. The judge said: "This court is satisfied that the background to this killing was related to drugs. You were a member of a group who were seeking to dominate and take control of the Southdene area of Kirkby... there was rivalry if not a feud between two opposing groups... Your victim was just 21 years of age at the time he met his death... The family is devastated and I do not lose sight of the distress no doubt occasioned to your own family... this case yet again illustrates that families are torn apart and lives are never the same in consequence of knife crime and those who are determined to resolve perceived grievances by the use of knives."
