What the court heard
He was found guilty of murder in Lancaster, Lancashire, on 27 August 2019. The court heard that his 29-year-old victim had previously acted as a peacemaker during a confrontation with a neighbour (eleven days earlier), when he approached his victim and asked where the neighbour was. He then produced a knife from his sock and stabbed his victim in the thigh. His victim suffered a cardiac arrest and died the following morning in hospital.
