What the court heard
He was found guilty of murder in Hillingdon, west London, on 24 September 2019. He had pleaded guilty to manslaughter. He carried out an unprovoked attack on a platform at Hillingdon Station. He stabbed his 20-year-old victim once to the chest before fleeing the scene. His victim died at the scene. The judge said: "This was a disgraceful display of violence for which there was no possible justification or excuse... The assault took place on a station platform and in the presence of members of the public who were shocked and frightened by the violence... The defendants ran from the scene and made attempts to evade arrest... This was a dreadful display of violence for which there was no possible justification or excuse" Update 30/03/2021: Court of Appeal judges dismissed his appeal against conviction (202002230 B1).
