What the court heard
He pleaded guilty (on the day of his trial) to murder in Liverpool, Merseyside, on 5 March 2020. He attacked his 64-year-old mother with a hammer at her home. His victim suffered multiple blunt force injuries to her head and face and died at the scene. The court heard that following the murder he used his victims account to transfer £25,000 into his building society account and purchased a (Jaguar VRM) vehicle on 6 March 2020. The judge found (trial of issue) that the murder was financially motivated.
