What the court heard
He was found guilty of murder in Uxbridge, west London, on 7 November 2019. He used a knife, at a knife awareness course, to carry out an unprovoked attack against his 18-year-old victim. His victim suffered two stab wounds to the chest and died later in hospital. The judge said: "The cruel irony of the fact you took with you, and used, this weapon on a course which was intended to give you an awareness of weapons hardly needs stating... [The victim] had done nothing and said nothing to cause you to attack him... You have an obsession with knives"
