What the court heard
He pleaded guilty to murder in Plymouth, Devon, on 12 January 2020. He attacked his victim with a claw hammer at his home. His victim suffered multiple head injuries and died in hospital on 22 March 2020. The judge said: "You launched a wicked and brutal attack upon him, you struck him to the head with considerable force, leaving him mortally wounded... you intended to kill him... in cold blood"
