What the court heard
He was found guilty of attempted murder and possession of a bladed article in Leicester, Leicestershire, between 2 January 2020 and 18 January 2020. The judge said: "You armed yourself with a weapon in at least three of the cases, went out and identified vulnerable members of the public to attack. Your attacks were random ... In each case you did so without any prior warning to the victim... your methods were likely to result in death as you intended or very serious injury. It was only through luck rather than judgement that you did not achieve your objectives." A Portuguese interpreter was required in the case..
