What the court heard
He was found guilty of murder in Speke, Merseyside, on 12 July 2019. He had offered to look after his girlfriends 22-month-old child when he violently assaulted him while he was in his sole care. His victim suffered a catastrophic brain injury and his life support machine was switched off on 13 July 2019.
