What the court heard
His original sentence✓ Saved of 10-years and 2-months imprisonment was increased with the addition of a 3-year extended licence period after the Court of Appeal judges agreed that it was unduly lenient. He was found guilty of rape and assault by penetration in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, on 25 February 2017. He had attempted to seduce his 23-year-old victim and followed and her friend around various nightclubs before he saw her alone, drunk and vulnerable. He offered his victim a lift home but parked in a car park and sexually assaulted and repeatedly raped her in his car.
