He was found guilty (retrial) of rape and assault by penetration in Bradford, West Yorkshire, on 29 August 2016. The judge said: "You took advantage of her, knowing she could not physically fight you off... You were a police officer. That carries with it a requirement that you behave in an upright, decent and proper manner at all times, whether on or off duty"
