What the court heard
He was found guilty of murder, conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm (GBH) and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life in Harlesden, north London, on 16 July 2020. He was with his victim, a member of the same gang, when they went armed with firearms to attack a rival gang. They opened fire and the rival gang returned fire killing his friend. The judge said: "I accept that the three of you never realised you would end up in the dock accused of [victims] murder - but anyone in this country who willingly participates in a gun battle in the street should not be surprised if the law holds them accountable for any loss of life as a result."
