What the court heard
He was found guilty of manslaughter, unlawful wounding and possession of a bladed article in Kirkby, Merseyside, on 22 August 2022. He was found not guilty of murder. He was armed with a knife when he fought his male victim outside a pub. He stabbed his male victim before accidentally stabbing his 55-year-old mother as she attempted to intervene. His mother suffered a stab wound to her chest and died later in hospital.
