What the court heard
He pleaded guilty to murder in Dudley, West Midlands, on 20 July 2023. The judge said: "You used a hammer to repeatedly strike her to the head. You were angry because she had continued to criticise you for your chronic delays and workmanship... Afterwards, you coolly went to school to pick up your daughter and showered and shaved and attended church that evening, where you led a service... No sentence I can impose can put the clock back."
