What the court heard
His original 2-year suspended sentence was quashed and replaced with a 3-year custodial term and a further year on extended licence. Judges ruled it was unduly lenient after the case was referred to the Court of Appeal by the Solicitor General under s.36 Criminal Justice Act 1988. He pleaded guilty to intentionally encouraging or assisting the commission of an offence and distributing indecent images of a child.
